HTML Slides, PDF or Editable PowerPoint: Choose an Agent Workflow
Choose the delivery format before choosing a skill. Compare browser presentations, printed PDFs and native PowerPoint objects, then verify the actual exported file.
Fastest way
Ask your AI to do it
Paste this into the AI agent you already use:
Help me choose between browser HTML, PDF and native editable PowerPoint. Ask who receives the files, what they must edit and which application they use. Check the selected package actual exports and dependencies, preserve source facts, and verify the delivered file rather than promising an unsupported conversion.
Which format does the audience need to receive?
Choose HTML when you will present in a browser and want its native interactions. Choose PDF when the recipient needs a fixed document to read or print. Choose native PPTX when someone must edit text, shapes or notes in a presentation application. Renaming a file or putting one screenshot on every slide does not make its contents editable.
Compare the files, not just the preview
| Format | Useful for | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Browser HTML | Keyboard presentation, local themes and interactive examples | Open the actual HTML with its assets; check navigation and notes |
| Printed PDF | A fixed copy for reading, printing or approval | Inspect the saved PDF for cropping, missing pages and selectable text |
| Native editable PPTX | Presentation-app editing and a team handoff | Edit a text object and notes in the actual application; inspect every slide |
Use the browser-deck workflow for a small supplied story
Presentation Deck Builder v1.0.0 generates 3–12 slides in presentation.html plus speaker-notes.md from reviewed JSON. It requires Node.js 24+ without package installation or a provider key for its generator. It does not export a PPTX or an MP4. If you print it to PDF, inspect that saved copy rather than assuming the browser preview guarantees print fidelity.

For a brand-positioning workshop, Brand Strategy Studio delivers presentation.pptx, a browser review room, notes and evidence-linked strategy files. It is a brand workflow, not a universal converter for arbitrary HTML. Read its SKILL.md and pinned requirements; use Python 3.10+ with python-pptx installed in a virtual environment. The following practice command uses the included fictional brief, after setup.
Inspect Brand Strategy Studio requirements and actual example
.venv/bin/python scripts/build-brand.py --input examples/brand.json --demo --output ./practice-brand-deckWhat makes an export genuinely editable?
- Open the delivered PPTX in the target presentation app. Select and edit a title, inspect shape objects and speaker notes, then save and reopen a copy. A valid ZIP or a successful generator exit does not establish layout fidelity.
- Review long text, fonts, charts, line breaks and links on every slide. Keep supplied facts and unresolved questions intact. A target is not an achieved metric, and a source ID alone does not validate a claim.
- Keep HTML, PDF and PPTX verification separate. Browser-only controls, animation and local state need not transfer into a printed document or another application.

Do browser edits update the downloaded PowerPoint?
In Brand Strategy Studio, download the edits JSON and rebuild into a new directory to refresh the PowerPoint. Its existing file remains the old export until then. Slide wording edits do not rewrite the underlying strategy evidence; make substantive changes in the reviewed source brief and reconcile all delivered files. Keep the final input, notes and actual exported copy together.
