Choose and Build a Brand Story, Identity or Decision Deck
Match four free presentation workflows to different briefs, run a complete local example and verify browser edits. Separate editable text from flattened PowerPoint artwork.

Ask your AI to do it

Help me choose Brand Story Deck, Cobalt System Deck, Consulting Storyline Deck or Editable Visual Deck for my supplied brief. Ask what the audience must understand or decide, which facts are approved and which objects must remain editable. Read the installed release, run its local starting deck without paid image APIs, then author my sourced content. Check every page, notes, overview and browser edits. Inspect any actual export report and list pictured or substituted objects; do not promise untested native PowerPoint objects.
Which free presentation skill fits the job?
Choose by the decision or story you need to communicate. Brand Story Deck explains a brand narrative; Cobalt System Deck presents visual identity rules; Consulting Storyline Deck develops an evidence-led recommendation; Editable Visual Deck emphasizes a browser composition and an explicit object handoff. They ship complete HTML starting decks and supporting instructions, not an automatic fact-writing service.
Match the brief before choosing a visual style
Plan image-led scenes and an artwork ledger instead
| Workflow | Best starting question | Supply before authoring |
|---|---|---|
| Brand Story Deck · narrative | What tension, belief and behavior define this brand? | Approved origin, promise, evidence and permitted identity assets |
| Cobalt System Deck · identity guidelines | How should the identity look and remain consistent? | Mark studies, type, colors and rights-cleared application images |
| Consulting Storyline Deck · recommendation | What should the audience decide, and on what evidence? | Decision, analysis, sources, assumptions and implementation gates |
| Editable Visual Deck · object handoff | Which elements must remain editable after delivery? | Approved copy, object inventory, target software and font requirements |
Separate facts, illustration and visual requirements
- State the audience, intended decision, duration, desired slide count and source of each factual claim. The included fictional stories and example metrics are not evidence for your company. Replace them rather than changing only the logo.
- Read the selected SKILL.md, references/layouts.md and references/themes.md. Keep its paging engine and use that package’s supported compositions and named themes. A brand-origin story should not be forced into a consulting findings table.
- Use owned local artwork, procedural SVG or approved supplied images for a path without image API charges. Optional image-generation helpers are separate services; do not run them merely to complete the practice below.
Run the shipped starting deck locally
Install one complete package with your verified account. From that package directory on macOS or Linux, choose a new practice file and run these commands with Node.js. cp -n preserves an existing file; if the name is already used, choose another name consistently in all three commands. The local server prints the actual address and moves to another port if needed. Open that printed address, and stop the server with Ctrl+C.
- The reviewed releases contain 7 Brand Story slides (v1.0.1), 12 Cobalt slides (v1.0.2), 8 Consulting slides (v1.0.1) and 7 Editable Visual slides (v1.0.2). These are starting examples, not a compulsory page count for your own brief.
- The structural validator checks such matters as slide IDs, notes, placeholders and studio state. Passing it does not verify a source claim, a pleasing layout or a PowerPoint export.
cp -n references/template.html ./practice-deck.html
node scripts/validate-deck.mjs ./practice-deck.html
node scripts/serve-deck.mjs ./practice-deck.html --port 5377Inspect every page, then make one controlled edit
- Move forward and backward through every page with the controls and arrow keys. Open the overview with Escape and notes with N. Check the first and last page, long text, images, source labels and the intended number of semantic slides.
- Press E to open the studio, change a heading in the practice copy, wait for its save indication and reload to verify persistence. Compare the active theme and notes too. A store preview can disable export; use your installed local copy for delivery.
- A file opened directly keeps edits in browser state until you export HTML. The supplied local server saves studio edits into the file. Export and reopen the final HTML before sharing it, then validate the delivered copy and inspect its appearance at narrow width.
What remains editable in PowerPoint?
The bundled exporter reconstructs supported leaf text as native text boxes and carries speaker notes. It also uses background images and separate pictures. Shapes, charts, icons and other effects may arrive as pictures; web fonts may be substituted. An editable HTML chart is not proof of a native PowerPoint chart. Inspect the per-slide export report and actual target application before promising an editable object.
- PowerPoint export is optional and needs the documented export dependencies plus a supported local browser. Package access does not supply those dependencies or certify their results. This guide’s local HTML practice does not require an image or model API.
- If native diagrams, chart data or shapes are essential, specify that requirement before authoring and plan separate reconstruction and visual review. A successful script exit or a .pptx filename is not that verification.
Choose HTML, PDF or native editable PowerPoint deliberately
Deliver a complete, inspectable presentation
Keep the authored HTML, source brief, approved assets, speaker notes, chosen theme, checks and unresolved assumptions together. Deliver optional PDF or PPTX only when those files actually exist and have been reviewed. Share the expected presentation environment and a clear list of native, pictured and substituted objects.
