About this skill

Capabilities: episode search/topic/sort and empty states, actual WAV/MP3 playback, measured WAV waveforms, chapter seeking, searchable transcripts or listening notes, skip/seek/speed, reordered queues, local resume and a byte-range preview server.

Deliverables: the fictional SIGNAL / NIGHT journal with three original stereo studies totaling 162 seconds, nine chapters and individual covers, HTML player/archive, actual WAVs, notes Markdown, episode JSON, chapter CSV, RSS XML, publishing handoff, font notices and a SHA-256 manifest.

First run: Node.js 22+ without extra packages. Run node scripts/build-podcast.mjs --input examples/show.json --demo --output ./podcast-site, then node scripts/serve.mjs --root ./podcast-site --port 5372. Open the local URL and test actual playback and chapters.

Validation: actual stereo PCM decoding, independently parsed durations and non-silent unclipped signals, chapter/media bounds and path rejection, RSS enclosure bytes, browser playback/chapters/speed/queue/resume, range requests, 390px player layout and reproducible hashes.

Version 1.0.1: original MIT workflow, implementation, synthesized audio and covers with separately licensed OFL fonts. The instrumental example has listening notes, no invented spoken transcript or guest. Feed download does not submit to a podcast platform; public hosting and codec requirements need review. $4.99 one-time; active Premium includes this package.

    Choose your agent

These steps use a project folder. Open the project in your agent and run terminal commands from its root.

    Codex directory guide

    Package folder .agents/skills/podcast-publisher-studio

  2. 02

    Add the package

Download and unzip the package into the folder above. Keep all its files together, with SKILL.md directly inside that folder.

Downloads require a verified account and purchase access. Choose a new folder if this Skill is already installed.

    Run the included sample

Manual sample commands and technical details

Read SKILL.md, review the generator and check its runtime requirements before running:

    cd .agents/skills/podcast-publisher-studio
    node scripts/build-podcast.mjs --input examples/show.json --demo --output ./podcast-site
    node scripts/serve.mjs --root ./podcast-site --port 5372
    Your first result

Play all three actual studies. Jump to a chapter, pause and skip fifteen seconds, change speed, reorder and play Up next, then reload to resume. Search an empty result and filter a topic; download audio, listening notes and RSS, and reconcile enclosure URLs and lengths.

Node.js 22+ standard library, tested on 24.15.0. Original synthesized sound, no voice or field recording. Permitted local PCM WAV and MP3 inputs are supported; MP3 duration/waveform inputs need a decoder review. RSS hosting and podcast-platform acceptance are separate checks. No email or analytics is collected.

If podcast-site already exists, change the output to ./podcast-site-2. Existing files are never overwritten.

    Prefer to ask your agent?

Use Podcast Publisher Studio at .agents/skills/podcast-publisher-studio. Read SKILL.md and review scripts/build-podcast.mjs. Run examples/show.json into a new output folder and show me all generated files. Keep fictional sample content clearly labeled.

Ready to use your own facts?

Copy examples/show.json to a new input file, replace all fictional facts, and generate into a new folder. Review the content before using or publishing it; the generator does not independently verify claims.
