Triage Support Tickets: Business-hour SLAs, Reply Drafts and Handoffs

Prepare a support desk from authorized tickets and current policies. Check priority reasons, weekend and holiday deadlines, historical response breaches and knowledge drafts without sending replies or closing tickets.

Fastest way

Ask your AI to do it

Paste this into the AI agent you already use:

Use Support Operations Studio to triage authorized, redacted tickets against current policies. Confirm timezone, calendar and first-response targets; record impact evidence, verify a weekend or holiday deadline and inspect every reply and escalation. Preserve historical breaches and keep sending, refunds, closure and publication separate.

How can an agent prepare a reviewable support handoff?

Support Operations Studio v1.0.0 creates a local triage desk, business-hour first-response calculations, customer reply drafts, escalation packets and knowledge drafts from reviewed tickets and policies. The agent interprets evidence; the generator validates references and applies explicit rules. It does not send replies, issue refunds, close tickets or publish articles.

Set the calendar and read each ticket before assigning impact

  • Use authorized exports, stable customer aliases and source locations. Remove private account details first. Review every export: automatic masking of common email/token/number patterns is best effort, not proof of anonymization.
  • Read references/input.md. Supply an as-of instant, IANA timezone, weekdays, same-day work window, holidays and P1–P4 first-response targets. This is not a resolution-time SLA, contractual assessment or split-shift scheduler.
  • Read each issue and record classificationReason and evidence. Security or confirmed all-user impact becomes P1, a blocked team P2, a single user P3 and a non-blocking request P4. Similar wording alone does not establish one incident.

Generate the fictional Beacon support desk

Install the complete package and review SKILL.md. From its folder, use Python 3.10+ with installed IANA timezone data and a new output directory. The included sample has twelve fictional tickets and actual local calculations. Omit --demo only after replacing it with authorized reviewed input.

python3 scripts/build-desk.py --input examples/desk.json --demo --output ./practice-support

Check a weekend and holiday deadline independently

Open practice-support/index.html and inspect the queue, Ticket desk and Knowledge drafts. Reconcile queue.json and queue.csv with the original calendar. Under the sample calendar, a P3 ticket created Friday October 9, 2026 at 16:00 Los Angeles time with 480 business minutes is due Tuesday October 13 at 16:00, because the weekend and Monday holiday contribute no minutes. This example is a calendar calculation, not a real customer obligation.

  • At the exact deadline an unanswered ticket is due; only after it becomes overdue. A reply at the deadline meets SLA. A late response stays historically breached after the ticket is resolved.
  • Read each draft alongside the exact policy text and observed symptom. A valid policy ID does not prove that a refund promise, fix date or assurance is supported. Check escalation owners and confirmed next checkpoints.
  • Filters only change the desk view. Confirm exported queue files still include all expected tickets, per-ticket replies and escalation packets. Inspect quality.json, handoff.md and the file-hash manifest.

Turn confirmed resolutions into reviewed knowledge

Use a resolved ticket with a confirmed fix, reproducible steps and verification for a knowledge draft. Keep unresolved causes as questions. Customer communication and publication remain separate actions with their own review. Do not convert a support queue into claims about market prevalence.
